Help:Naming Conventions

Please adhere to these naming conventions when adding items to the Wiki resource.

In general:

1. Do not capitalize items that are not proper nouns. (For instance, "business suit" is not a proper noun, while "Gaius Baltar" is.)
2. Encase all episode titles in quotations, with exception of the Miniseries. The Miniseries should be referred to as "the Miniseries".
3. Do not use call signs when a real name is available. (Therefore "Starbuck" is to be written out as "Kara Thrace".)

Costumes

For civilian costumes, use the following format:

• [Character Name] [clothing item] from [episode]

Example: Gaius Baltar's business suit from Miniseries

For military clothing worn by characters, use this format:

• [Character Name] [uniform type]

Example: Kara Thrace's flight suit

Props

For props, use either format:

• [Character Name]'s [item]
• [Character Name]'s [item] from [episode]

We don't need a specific episode where this item originates from, unless the character has two different items (such as pens) featured in different episodes.

Example: Gaius Baltar's pen

Set Pieces

For set pieces, use one of the following:

• [Character Name]'s [object tile]

Example: William Adama's desk

You can also use: William Adama's desk from his quarters

• [set piece name] from [location]

Example: Podium from Galactica's briefing room
